Imagine, a pebble, thrown into a lake.  One would see ripples extend past the mark of the rock.

I realized, that my actions in the present can change lives either negatively or positively.  And, that these actions have far-reaching consequences for years to come.  For this reason, I decided that I wanted to make the world a better place.  And, do what I could do.

Well, good news, is that I finally left the hospital.  But, I was not the same person.  I had been very much affected by the suffering around me, and it has taken years for the memories to fade.

Now, looking back, I must say, that is was the best experience. And, it saved my life.  For that, I am very grateful.  I matured about ten years in the span of six months, but it was the most enlighting things.  No, I don't want to give you the wrong idea.  My life was far from perfect, and I had many issues.  But, I had found a purpose.

The next ten years were very traumatic, however.  I suffered from multiple hospitalizations, and being overdrugged, unhealthly relationships, numerous job firing, and discrimimation because of my disability.  There were many serious issues, that I don't have time nor want to discuss here.

Mainly, it is the message, that is important.  The message is that, we can rise up.  We can live successful lives.  It may alot of years, and effort.  But, it worth every minute of it.  I am living proof, that one can rmake it.  And, we can become an inspiration to the world and others.  Small actions can have far-reaching effects.  We just must make a choice to stand up.  We can be example for others.

During my day, I try to talk to people who need someone to listen, I may give a homeless person a couple of bucks or food, I assist people with small favors, I may just smile at them, or I may walk with the old person across the street.  You see, it's really the small things, that count.  As my friend, Alex, used to say, we get points for doing nice things for people, and once we get enough points staked up, we go to heaven.  Well, he did all his good deeds.

I want to thank everyone, that reads this.  I hope, that is a source of inspiration for someone.  Even, if it is one person.  The best I can say, is that if it only touches one person.  I would like to hear feedback, if you are interested in leaving it.

My hearts go out to all, that are battling mental illness.  Know that you are not along, and that there are many people who care.  God Bless!
