I commented on a sharepost about being contented with bipolar. It reminded me of a discussion I had with a young woman who said she actually enjoyed that part of her life. At first I was puzzled, until she explained being bipolar made her feel special. It was something that set her apart from most people. Her comment shifted my own thinking and I feel special, too. I accept myself for who I am and just try to reach 1 person each day.

Yes you are very special and you have traits about you that make you unique. These traits may not always seem to be a positive influence in your life, but remember life it what you make of it. But you must look in the long term. Your specialness will allow you to influence others in a positive way even when you strugle. Remember others struggle even if they don;t suffer from a handicap, ir if they struggle in the same way you do. Make your struggles a positive one bourne out of your desire to make your individualism bring out the best traits in others
