Well another school year has drawn to a close.  Only one year left to go.  I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for him.  He has his year one machining certificate.  He passed the semester with straight Cs.  I know he could do better but at least he passed everything.  No more Math! Woohoo! He has to repeat a semester of biology and year 10 English but other than that, it's smooth sailing from here.  He was accepted back at the academy for Senior year.  He's driving now (scary thought).  We're having a problem with night terrors.  He's standing up on his bed deathly afraid of something but not remembering it the next day.  One night he saw a huge spider coming down on top of him and woke up yelling and cussing about it.  I suspect it was part of a nightmare but he remembers it vividly enough he doesn't think it was.  Does anyone else have this problem and is it something to be concerned about?

The flashes of anger are coming back lately.  He cussed and yelled for 5 minutes over a dropped pizza.  He did get himself under control shortly after.  I'm not sure whether to let it go or ask for adjustments on his medication.

He has an appointment with his psych nurse on Monday.  I guess she can decide whether any adjustments need to be made.  I'm letting go of him.  Well, as much as I can.  He will be 18 in 6 months.  He doesn't seem to have much motivation as far as working and taking care of himself but that seems to be a theme among other people his age.  At least with the people I know who have kids his age.

Maybe most of it is a teenage boy thing.  Anyway, I haven't been around lately and thought I'd check in.  See if I'm worrying over nothing and let people know we're still hanging in there.
