Hello Friends!
Are you bipolar like me? If so, I would be honored if you would share your story in my next book; Creeping Into the Crazy House Clapping. It will be my second book. I need a bunch of people to participate, so please, don't be shy--
I don't know if I am allowed to put my website on here, so you can get more information, but I will try- its the name of my first book BigCrowdAtTheCrazyHouse.com
Hope to talk to all of you soon! Thank you and God Bless!

The terms "crazy," "psycho," "nut case" and others similar are distasteful to me. I know they are only what you make of them, but too many uneducated people use them in a derogatory manner as a way to propagate and perpetuate stigma. Of course, I haven't read anything you've written, so it may seem I am making a judgment that is totally unqualified. And maybe I'm too sensitive. But I would guess it draws more of a reading audience to use these pejorative terms.
Didn't mean to offend you-- but can't change the title of my book or course of the last 12 years of my life based on hurting someones feelings... it is what it is, and I was referring to a place "Crazy House" not a person... now I know why I don't do blogs-- it's all drama, and all I was doing was trying to make a difference, by getting people to share their stories of what people went through! Hey, I almost died twice, and was so insane, that being called crazy is the least of my worries, so maybe you aren't that bad off, didn't mean to offend you though.. But still won't change the title. Theres's reasons behind them both.
I have been hospitalized 18 times, so I know what a psych ward is like. I have also had ECT and been unable to work for years because of cognitive dysfunction. My schizophrenia symptoms began at age 10 and I'm 52 now. They still come flooding back if I neglect to take the necessary meds. Sometimes I just find some terms objectionable because they mislead the public's perception of mental illness.
