Seroquel
tabby
Monday, January 21, 2008 at 08:21 AMWhen I was on Seroquel I had to stop taking it because I suddenly developed leg, knee, and neck pain along with a low grade continual fever for several days. There was no reason for the symptoms. I went to my family doc. and they examined me and told me it was an adverse reaction to the Seroquel.
You need to go to your doc even though you have no insurance. Or, you need to go to an urgent care center. A lot of meds (not only psych. ones) can have an adverse effect of muscle and/or joint pain or fever. If it is related to any of your meds, it is a serious effect and you need to know about it.
See a doc, tell them what is going on, and they can determine if it is the med(s) or not. Once figured out - they can tell you how to go about stopping or decreasing any med safely cause going off something cold turkey can and will bring about things sometimes that is worse than the side effect you are currently undergoing.
Always, always talk to the docs about the meds, ALWAYS! Just a little word of wisdom from a foolish one who didn't listen at first.

Help. I am having so many problems I don't know where to start. I lost my job 2 weeks ago and have been asleep most of the time since. I am taking cymbalta, lamictal and seroquel. I am so depressed that I just don...

Maybe you can call your doc and ask for something to get you by. You can sometimes get free meds from the companies. Maybe your doctor will give you a few samples of something new to try.
Doesn't hurt to ask.
