A couple of months ago, after I was diagnosed with diabetes, my psychiatrist and I had a talk about my medications. Throughout the time I'd been feeling so lethargic, fuzzy-minded and depressed, he and I had tried different medications to cope with what we both thought was treatment-resistant depress...

The no motivation, dizziness, inertia, depressed fuzziness... all can come from diabetes symptoms. My older sister takes metformin for diabetes. When her blood sugar is out of synch, she does have these symptoms (as well as blood pressure for which she takes blood pressure meds for) and yet she still takes her medication(s).
You said that the pdoc and yourself decided to come off the Seroquel and decided on a course of action to do so. That came with "symptoms" and so, you and the doc sorta started out all over again and started coming down and off again. Again, "symptoms". So, you - on your own - decided to pop 50mg to ward off symptoms.
In withdrawing from a medication having taken a bit... you will struggle with "effects" and/or symptoms.
Coming off meds, even with docs orders, are not walks in the sunny park and mostly you will feel quite *crappy* for a while. You could have contacted your doc to inform him and ask his advisement.
cause
You did not say if your doc authorized you to re-start the Seroquel dosage again but you did say the doc was concerned about your diabetes and blood sugar and this is why he wanted it out of your system.
I've been monitoring my blood sugar and it seems to be okay, but I had blood tests done Monday and have a follow-up appointment with my primary care doctor tomorrow to make sure things are going well.
Yes, I have kept in touch with my psychiatrist. The reason I believe the problems are from titrating down Seroquel is the timing. Yes, I could be wrong, and if I am, hopefully I'll find out tomorrow if more Metformin is needed.
