Hi Marcia
This is Merely Me from MyDepressionConnection. Thanks for writing about this topic...I know a lot of our members on the depression site will be interested in this information.
I have a question for you...I have a friend who has a son with Bipolar Disorder and she was telling me that there is some sort of shortage of Lithium medication right now. Is this true? Have you heard about this?
I got parkinsonian systems with Lithium after taking it for at least a year. It got so bad that I was staggering at work. The shitty nurse practioner threw her hands up and sent me to a Neurologist. The Neurologist wrote a report that said my meds were all wrong and that I should be taking Lamictal. I fired the pdoc, now I'm with a really good pdoc who got me off the Lithium and on to Lamictal.
Sleep is a struggle for me. We are trying to tweak this. I wish I could bring myself to smoking pot, as it always puts me to sleep. But it's hard to find a dealer when your yuppie and 45 years old.
