Great documentary put on by Stephen Fry of the U.K.  Lots of food for thought.  There's 14 parts:  http://youtube.com/watch?v=yS9o7U33z1k&feature=related

Hi. I've worked with Stephen Fry - he is the Special Ambassador of Equilibrium - The Bipolar Foundation (based in Oxford, UK, a new international charity - whom I work for). If anybody wants a copy of the documentary I will post one out to you on DVD. Obviously I can't do this over and over, but if you are interested, let me know. If he ever brings it out on DVD properly, I will no longer post 'em out for free.

Sit down and watch it as 2 episodes on your sofa... Youtube keeps deleting the posts anyway.

Thanks for the offer.  Yes, it appears YouTube keeps deleting it.

    Dear Katysara

If possible could you send me a copy of the Secret Life of the Manic Depressive with Sephen Fry on DVD.

I had hoped to buy this documentary when released, but to date the BBC has not distributed it for sale.

If it is not possible to get a copy, do you know if the BBC plan to release it in the near future.

Kawika, I will email you. Yes I can post to the USA, and yes the DVD will work, it is not region formatted.

Karl, your copy is ready to post the next time I go out.

Regarding the actual release of the documentary, I spoke to Stephen's TV/film agent yesterday and they don't know, so I am waiting to hear from Stephen or his personal office about this question. I will post again when I know any more.

I'll end this message with my usual email signature - there are links to the Bipolar Foundation (for whom I work and Stephen is our Special Ambassador) that you may find helpful. Dear reader,

I have watched the documentary of Stephen Fry ; the secret life of the manic depressive. I have tried to get a dvd for my daughter. My ex husband is bipolar and has just gone through a major crisis. For my duaghter is it very difficult to understand what it means to have such a handicap. It had a great impact on her life ans she is searching everywhere for information. This DVD might help her to understand better the life of her father. Of course I am willing to pay for this DVD. It is a pity that it is not available elsewhere. I hope to hear something from you.

    Yours sincerely,

    Hi,

Could you please send me a dvd too? I lecture in psychology, and feel that this documentary is excellent for giving students a feel for what it is like to suffer from this disorder.

    Many thanks
