I am about to start ect...I hope I will only need 6 to 9 treatments..I have been on everything but Lithium...I have only heard the negative side..does anyone have any postive thoughts..They are thinking of putting me on this after my treatment..I am a little nervous..I have HUGE major depression
My question is: Why are they not trying you with the Lithium FIRST before wanting you to do 8-9 electroshock treatments to the brain?

Thanks for your responce..I have tried everything but Lithium..My doctor never put me on it..When I spoke to her on Friday she said I would get better results from the ECT, and the meds would take much longer to work..I am in major depression and really see no way out..I have been suffering for two years..It this point I think everyone agrees ect is my nest route..Have you tried it..I would love any insight..Thanks Traci
They just tool me off Trilpitical and Lamitctal..
