I just got this book, written by Julie A. Fast and John D. Preston, Psy.D. Has anyone else read it?

My husband is super loving and supportive, but with my worsening of symptoms and diagnosis this winter I know it's been harder than ever for him. (And only recently do I even realize how difficult I've been to live with at times, all these years. Ugh.)

The book is written for the partner to work through on his own, or along with the bp sufferer if he/she is in a place where she's able to do so. Julie Fast and her partner both have bipolar disorder, and I find the book almost eye-popping in its accuracy of my illness and our relationship woes. (It discusses a full array of symptoms and manifestations, no cookie-cutter stuff.)

So far I'm finding it has good how-to-deal-with-it stuff. Anyone else read it or have other book recommendations?

(I'm also looking forward to reading John McManamy's book; it was what I was hoping to find but they didn't have it at my local bookstore.)

Hi TMarie.....It's great that you and your husband have found a book that you can work on together.

There are several very good books on bipolar.  In my opinion, a few of them are:  Madness: A Bipolar Life, the Bipolar Child, Bipolar Disorder for Dummies, and of course, John McNanamy's book, Living Well...Smile  All of these books can be found on Amazon.com.

Thanks for the tips, Judy.
