It has been two years since I had a decent night sleep, it all started with my last breakdown that I described in my profile. I talked to my doctor today and yes we are increasing the trazadone to 100mg at night in the hope that I can sleep more than three hours. I do fall asleep and after three h...

Wait and see if the additional trazedone does the job.  If not, call your Pdoc back, tell him/her it didn't work and that you are afraid you are going to hurt yourself if you don't get any sleep.

Kekelami, I understand completely how you are feeling. I average about 4 hours a night over a weeks time. Some nights are good while some are not. Recently I went three weeks with about 20 hours of sleep. Yes it was disatourous. I seem to wake up at 3am. Funny how my internal clock works, who can figure? Anyway, give the new dose time. I know it is hard but I do understand your desperation. One thing that has seem to help me is I don't usually get on the Net after 10pm and before 6am, this has helped somewhat. i don't know if that is a problem with you but to much stimulation can do damage. I try to read a very boring book to help me dose back of, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Good luck with the sleep thing. i will be thinking about you at 3am tomorrow morning and praying for you at that time so maybe that will help. :-)Cynthia

Thank you for the encouragement, yes 3am is my time to wake no matter what time I go to bed. I am hanging in there trying very hard to hang. I am a boring person with very little stimulation. I will see what the new dose of medication will do. I will pray with you at 3am.
