I am here trying to find my way. I am reaching out to anyone who can take the time to reach back. I have to help myself get this illness on track I know I can not do it alone. Are you the person?

Are you new to the illness? I am myself. I dont know how much help I can be, but I am certainly willing to give it a try. I know how alone this disorder can make you feel I dont want anyone to go through this alone.

I spent all morning looking for a support group in my area, but have been unsuccessful. I am seeing a psyc and therapist but what I really need is to find someone who is bipolar who really understands. So no, I can't help you, but maybe we could help eachother.

I will take any help I can get. I am also thinking jusr being able to talk to some one who understands this place where we live at times is a great support. I am on face book look me up we chat. also face book has a bipolar support area. I found in the last 3 days it has been very helpful.

Jamie,

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I checked my self into a hospital and was in for thirteen days! Im going to try the facebook thing, I've never done it before! I'd like to share with you what I've learned. I feel like i might be able to help a little bit now!

Welcome, Jaime Hassey and JM

I will do my best to help you.

This is hard on everybody but at least we don't feel alone here, there are always very nice and understanding people caring for our well being at this site.

We are very welcome here; we all talk the same language (BP). I call them my brothers and sisters because that's how they make me feel. I love being here, giving all the support I can and receiving all the support I need when I'm in trouble with BP.

Fell free to tell us what you need, you are no longer alone.

Thank you all for the support. The day after I posted my comment, I checked myself into a psyciatric hospital. It was one of the scariest things I have ever done. I actually don't remember getting there or the first two days, but I sure am glad I went. I was in for 13 days. I think I'm on the right meds now and I feel like I have my life back.

Hi!!

I'm glad to hear from you again! Wow you have a lot of guts getting help even though you forgot doing it.

Those are great news and I'm so happy you are finally taking the right meds to stabilize your BP; it's not easy to find the right ones at the beginning.

Keep us posting on how you're doing.

Take care.

Alex
