Hello to all,
I am new to this so bare with me. My husband was diagnosed with bipolar 15+ yrs. ago. He has had his bad times but we have always made it through it. Approx. 1month ago he had his first bad mixed episode & since then he just can't get back on track. We realize how lucky he has been with everything we know & have seen with this illness. He's currently on Lithium & Lamictal. They had put him on Zyprexia for his mixed episode & recently made an attempt to take him off. He thought this was great..well not so anymore. He has taken various "cocktails" during his depressive episodes in the past & things generally after trial & error would work. This time not so much (we knew it eventually might happen) but I don't know how much more he can take, nor I.
I'm just looking for any support or ideas, I feel like everything is hanging by a thread!

My therapist gave us some healthcards that she downloaded from www.bipolarhappens.com There are ideas on how to support our loved ones and it gives them ideas on what to do when they feel certain ways.
It may take awhile and some medication adjustments to get your husband "back on track".
I hope everything works out for you
