I've been with my fiance for nearly four years.  He got me fresh out of a bad relationship and with alcoholic behaviors, but he patched me up and I changed the way I relate to alcohol.  Things were good for awhile, but then I started getting depressed, then I got really depressed.  ...

Lex...Sure it does, especially knowing that he loves you.  Your depressions are temporary - he will appreciate the good times and get thru the not so good ones.  At least that's how it is in my relationship.  Love one another and appreciate what you have together.  It's about teamwork and gentle care.

Getting burned out doesn't mean you stop caring.  It's just tough dealing with it from the caregiver's end too.  You see the person you love becoming someone else.  Stress and worry takes it's toll on you emotionally and physically.  I'm sure he'll be back to his regular self again as things go back to normal and he gets a break from all of the stress.  Hang in there.
