Welcome to my new world.

By DownInSugalandxox Thursday, December 30, 2010

If you've read my last post, you would know that I, as a thirteen year old child, was very lost and afraid due to the trauma and abuse enforced upon my family by my stepfather.

Now, as a fifteen year old "child," if you will, I am doing much better. Still, I struggle. But now, am doing much better. Though I have nightmares still, I am working on my confidence. He is out of my life.

I now play guitar, write songs and poetry, and compete in beauty pageants. Not to mention I love to draw, and, because of him, am nicer to everyone and make sure to smile at whoever I may see. After all, we are each fighting our own unique battle.

Thank you all for your kind words on my previous post. Continue to thrive on the intensity of life and spread your non-judgemental love.

As for those still in my previous position? A word of advice? Don't break, stand your ground. Trust your heart and instinct. What is right is right, wrong is wrong, and for better or worse, things will turn out fine. Get out immeadiately if it begins to threaten your safety. Always choose to sleep safe, and sing as loud as you laugh.

Keep pushing on.

Thank you once more, all the best, God bless you, and remember, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND WORTH IT!
