Hello there
This is Merely Me from My Depression Connection. Just watched a movie I had rented from Netflix today called "The Informant" and it was supposed to be based upon a true story. The main character in the movie was supposed to have Bipolar Disorder. If you have seen this film, do you think the portrayal was accurate? It was a really wild story...I had no idea Bipolar Disorder would be such an important feature of the film.
Just wondering what your take on it is.

Interesting movie though...

How much do you know about bipolar disorder?
Hi MM,
I saw the movie a long time ago. I did not know it ws supposed to be about someone with bi-polar. I just thought it was an interesting story. I do remember
the informant spent time in prison or rehab at the end. Knowing that the informant
had bi-polar illness, changes everything. I thought he was just an habitual lier.
The FBI agents really had their hands full, and were shown as competent and
deeply understanding. I think the overall treatment was positive. The "hero" was shown to be very intelligent and resourceful. The final subtitles indicated that the man was rehabilitated.
