"The Mood Cure" by Julia Ross

By Gabriel Sunday, May 18, 2008

I read this book recently, and it has been an amazing help in terms of lifting my mood in recent months. This has been particularly amazing since I have just endured a long cold winter, a business collapse, and being unemployed for 6 months +, and being savagely lonely.

Basically the book talks about the link between diet and mood, and Ms. Ross advocates high protein, meat (esp turkey and fish), veggies, fruit, brown nice, nuts, eggs. She also advocates amino acid supplements (proteins).

And she's against wheat (gluten), sugar, most oils, additives/processed food, and caffeine.

I've made the changes and it's been amazing: happier, more energy, and less anxiety. You can find the book cheap used on Amazon.
