Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 02:31 AMI laughed when I saw the "recovered from" category choice when I signed up, as everything I've read says there is no "recovery" from bipolar disorder. But you consider yourself to be recovered? I would love to hear more about it.

Reminds me of a funny true story
I worked in the office of my local MH center and one day 2 therapists were discussing a client. One therapist was telling the other that this particular client had been her client for over 10 years and he had finally gotten to where he didn't need her anymore.
At that, I looked up and without missing a beat said "So Anne, you actually cured one huh? I didn't think you therapists ever actually cured anyone."
Needless to say, she didn't find this funny and actually shot me a very angry look.
