Its Been Awhile

By Eric Tuesday, January 25, 2011

So I have been away for sometime working on other projects and decided to drop in to see how everyone has been doing. The first thing I noticed was the fact that the majortity of posts are from experts verses people living with the illness asking questions or just posting how their feeling.

Where has everyone gone? It used to be a great place to talke with others that truly understood each others plights and sometimes offer suggestions, advice and or support.

Oh no, this isn't good.  I just came over here from another bipolar group that has gone a bit inactive.  I would like to know too where all of the bipolar people going....Farmville?

1/26/11 12:37am

Yes...I hear Farmville is good for the mind and keeps people occupied.

1/26/11 4:33pm

Couldn't agree more!  Farmville saved my life.  I now run 4 Farmville accounts and 4 Cityville accounts since I've been out of work for almost a year now because of this illness.  With all the multi-tasking I'm ready to go back to work now.

I seem to be the only one left that isn't an expert, author, or PhD

just a screwed up nut... whose mind is fried at the moment

it is good to "see" you, again, my friend Eric

you are a good soul

Hey Miss Tabby....your just in a tough spot right now and I do so much know what it feels like. So what do we do? Well we keep plugging away telling ourselves that it all chemical and not real. Ok...then why does it feel real and hurt so much then??? Well, thats just the way our minds are wired.

You may not have to do an IP and may just need to ask for a med adjustment from your pdoc. Have you brought it to his or her attention to see what they might be able to do for you?

1/26/11 7:09am

lost the "free" pdoc when I got the job last summer

now I got a $5000.00 deductible for MH to meet before insurance pays a penny so.. no pdoc

and I have a $1000.00 deductible for medical... so, no primary care less death truly is near

OR I choose to fight death that is watching me through the doorwaySurprised

i know i know

so the neuro med I am on that is wonderful for my seizures, only barely touches the mood cause if I start messing with it to touch the mood (it doubles as both) then the seizure thing is likely to kick up again... did a time or 2 before

just opening the eyes each morning and trying to make it... one 30 minutes at a time

sorry for being such a downer

it's the chemical bath Undecided

1/27/11 3:39am
Hey Miss Tabby,

Your not being a downer at all. I too take a combination of meds that are prescribed for seizers (I don't and never had one) that works well in stabilizing our mood once it where we want it.

I would think the cheapest avenue is to set up an appointment with your Pdoc and have a good heart to heart talk with them explaining where your at. Don't minimize it as most of us do.
