OK, I guess since I am seeking information and doing homework it means that I care about this person greatly, which is good sign for me I think. For the past 5 months I have been dating a wonderful girl, well she's wonderful some of the time. The relationship is great...we have tons in common and when we are on we are really on. Friends comment all the time about how they can look at us and tell how much we are into each other. Anyway she says she likes me more than anyone she has ever been with and sometimes it confuses and scares her. She has mentioned to me 2 times that she has been diagnosed with BPD...but she is not on meds. For about 6 days her and I are great, then all of a sudden it's like a switch flips and I am the worst person in the world. It's almost like since I care about her so much, I don't smother her, she flips out and some of the most vile and malicious stuff comes out of her mouth towards me. A few days later it's like nothing happened. She questions everything, analyzes everything and questions why and how I liked her so much. I'm in this and I can take the harsh words b/c I grew up around this stuff and I know it's not her doing it.
On Friday of last week she had some old friends really screw her over, I was out of town. She calls me crying her eyes out and I let her talk her way through it. When I get back on Sunday we set up a date, but when date time rolled around she didn't call or anything. A couple of hours later she calls and tells me that "she has loved the summer, loves being with me...but right now she needs to find herself". She tells me this over the phone instead of in person. She broke up with me b/c the stress created a low for her. Just 2 days before she was talking about future plans with me. Now I'm not sure what to do. I have not called her and not crowded her. I just don't get how her feelings for me went from great to low in the matter of hours. I know this is not a dating site, but I believe that she is sick and I don't know what to do now. I care about this person and I can deal with their illness, eventually I would ask her to go to the doctor if she wanted me around. I'm really confused by this though and have no idea if she is coming back once the spell is over.
