Darlene..It's nice to see that you have joined us at bpc.  There are lots of good people here - it's a great way for bipolars to expand their support system.  I've been somewhat active on this site for about a year.

I hope you get your meds straightened out.  If I miss a dose or two, it really affects my stability.  It's the last thing I need in my efforts to stay well.  It's always best to plan ahead for those refills so we don't get into trouble.

Glad to hear that your husband is supportive - it's so important that we have a good support system.  Thanks for sharing.

Glad you have joined us here my dear, this is a wonderful site to get information and support, so many good people here that have been through a lot of what you speak of going through.

It seems witha ll we have to deal with being bp that at times we forget to do the things like get meds refilled or meet deadlines of some sort or another. It certainly is a disorder that leaves us whirling, and up late many nights, I personally have even taken my sleep meds and been so manic i made no difference whatsoever.

I am a very rapid cycling, mixed mood bp and that alone lends one to havoc and often robs me of the rest and sleep i so need to get through the next day. It is a horrid thing to not be able to sleep...i know i have gone as many as 3 days before without sleep and then ended up MANIC and then Depressed and back again, over and over, for the silence of the night seemed to invade me and cause my mind to whirl and swirl and go into a whirlpool as my loved ones slept and the silence encompassed me....now one would think that would create a great environment to sleep, the silence, but no, it made my bp come to the forefront and the frustration at trying so hard to just get some sleep is hard to overcome.

You are so right that staying on our meds DOES help us, but at times it seems that nothing seems to help...but that to will pass, that is something i HAVE to keep in my own mind in order to deal.

I want you to know i welcome you with open arms and support and hope you post quite often so i can demonstrate our unity here on this site.....you are very fortunate to have a supportive husband as so do i, he is amazing really, and yet youll find so many that do not have that support and it can only make their bp symptoms worse to not be understood or accepted......so count your blessings on that my dear.

and know that we welcome you with OPEN ARMS!!!
    glad you're here!
looking forward to hearing from you more!
    sincerely

Hey how are you?  It is wonderful that you are taking meds and are trying to deal with this disorder.  My fiancee was diagnosed over 4 years ago but refuses that he has anything wrong with him.  Congrats
