need help dealing with racing thoughts

what tips do you have to deal with racing thoughts? I had to go off my wonder drug lithium. I am using sequil and lamital but it doesn't help the racing thoughts

What else can help me?

I have recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and I feel like every medication has been pushed on me, and honestly is that all that can help me? There has to be other ways, right?
