Bipolar and Aspberger's?

Does anyone have any experience with a connection between bipolar disorder and Aspberger's syndrome? Our family counselor has suggested that my 13-y.o. bipolar son may have some of the autism spectrum as well, due to his social awareness issues and other things that are hard to pin down.

Well.....I thought

I was doing pretty good today. Been pretty productive, it's a nice day, so I have been doing things outside that have needed to be done. Went for a paddle boat ride this morning on the lake.
