In the most extreme of cases, the low moods and negative thoughts that are associated with bipolar disorder can lead a depressed individual to consider or even commit suicide. While people in these situations believe taking their lives will end their pain, suffering is actually continued in the sadness and pain of the friends and family who loved them. It is important to know that feeling better is possible and reaching out for help or talking with someone about suicidal thoughts is the best plan of action.
