bipolar boyfriend is having a freak out, anybody have advice?

why if i am taking medication do i still havve horrible days?

i am on all of my medications i take them at the same time every day, i excersise, watch my diet, chart my mood.. but i still have some very depressed days, i dont have any manic days, or any that i notice... but i still get very sad and down on myself... i started college in the fall and i am way to anxious to make new friends so i eat...
