Bipolar & excercise

How do you fix it?

How do you go back and fix what you've broken?  What do you do when trust is shot and any chances for reconciliation are ruined?  I guess most importantly, how do you set your feelings and wants aside, and offer up a sincere, heartfelt apology that the other person can actually hear?
