Q: medication and pregnancy

Dear Experts,

I am fully aware of the possible risk to fetus should I continue to take Epilim and Tegretol during first trimester.   Although I read that it is equally important to have the mother remain emotionally stable during the period, I would be stressed out if I kept thinking the baby would get hurt.   Ideally I could be totally off meds during the period

I heard that when planning for pregnancy, Psychiatrist would assist in getting of meds six months before.  Is that right?  However, I couldnt sleep if I missed meds for one night (not deliberately).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

JC
