Q: How do we make our voices heard?

We in Bipolar land, are given pills and our 15 minutes and sent on our way for another month or two. Until we go back to the Doctor just to start this process all over again.  Why aren't our voices heard?  Why aren't the side effects attended too?  Why aren't there better treatments for us when we end up in the hospital?  Why aren't our problems dealt with when we are on the Psyc ward?  Do they think our problems will have just UPPED and disappeared when we return home?  Do they think if we tap our heals three times and SAY "theres no place like home" that things should be bright and shiny?  Don't they care enough to help us?  It's not enough to take pills and deal with side effects.  Then worry about hurting friends and families.  Then worry about when the next trip to the psyc ward will be.  Is it any wonder that suicide runs through our minds, when we feel like we our loosing our minds?  That sometimes when we end up in the darkest corners of our minds, that it's easier just to stay there?  Do they not care enough to help us deal with our inner demons?  So far it's take this pill, take that pill.  What side effects?  We have the answer for that...more pills.  Weight gain? Thats just another side effect.  How lucky can we get?  No sex drive?  Sorry about your luck!  So again I ask...How do we make ours voices heard?
