Q: self harm

How normal is it for someone with Bipolar to self harm itself?

Self harm is a common symptom of depression, so the same goes for depressive episodes with Bipolar disorder.

Additionally, in the case of Bipolar, the risk of someone causing harm to themselves tends to greatly increase during mixed episodes, when the bad feelings of depression coexist with the energy and racing thoughts of mania.
