Candy,
This is an easy question candy. A good diet for a person that has Bipolar Disorder is the same kind of diet that is good for anyone else. Eating healthy is good for anyone. Look at what nutritionists reccommend, do not go for any of those fad diets.
Some things of the top of my head are low fat meats like fish and poultry; high fiber foods like bran, oatmeal, beans, fruits like apples (with skin) and pears; vegetables, vegetables, vegetables--leafy and cruciriferous (broccoli, cauliflour). Lots of different vegatables and preferably raw when possible. Most people do not get enough fiber or vegetables and fruits in their diet and consume to much fat. Saturated fats and trans fats are the ones that are most unhealthy. Unsaturated fats and the polyunsaturated fats Omega-6 and Omega-3 are healthy fats.
Look for some sites about nutrition not diets.
