How to get insurance with bipolar

My husband is my health insurance and he is bipolar.  My insurance is being cut, I am very concerned that we will not be able to get affordable individual health insurance.  Any advice from anyone?

Usually "preexisting condition" clauses for insurers only limit treatment for the preexisting condition for the first year of the new policy.
