Q: No libido at all... what can I do?
Ever since I was suicidal about 2-3 years ago I've had no sex drive.
I am now on stable treatment and I have no conscious emotional difficulties that could decrease my libido this much, nor this continuously. I am not sure what to do.
I lost my libido during my worst depressive phase that lasted about 2 years, which was before I even started getting treatment for my bipolar disorder. Treatment helped me out of it over about 6 months, and now, over 9 months after that, I only have minor symptoms, which are not always present.
That means that I have had no libido for 3 years, whereas before that suicidal episode, I had a healthy and active libido. (I was never significantly affected by the hypersexuality of the manic spectrum)
I'm physically healthy, 19 years of age, I feel happy with my body and I have a very loving and supportive relationship with my boyfriend of over 5 years.
No kind of foreplay, no matter how hard we try, has consistent improving results. It appears that my medication has had no effect on my libido throughout, despite me trying many options.
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong, and or what I can do about it?
