Q: does drug abuse cause bipolar disorder. I see signs that are from the use that look like symptoms

I realize that individuals with bp are prone to drug abuse...Is it possible that after years of abuse of certain substances that these symptoms are FROM the drug use and that has caused what looks to be bipolar disorder?

actually i was reading about that cause that is what i thought, but no it is just a chemical imbalance that you are born with. If you take drugs on top of that then yes you will have more of an episode, depending on what you take.
