Q: I need help with dealing with a manic depressant, who won't get help.

My boyfriend is currently in the military and refuses to start the process to find out what exactly he will be diagnosed with.  He's afraid it will ruin his career.  From the reading that I have done, I would say that he is manic depressive.  I need tips and advice on how to deal with him...he wants to break up with me every time he has a down episode, and I love him with all my heart.  The other issue that we are dealing with is that we are three hrs apart...so I can't be with him during these phases.  It is breaking my heart.  Please help!
