Very sorry to hear that you have bipolar.  But atleast you were diagnosied early.  Go to your local library and read everything you can about being bipolar.  Being educated is one of the best things you can do for yourself.  Have your family read everything too!  It's a hard disorder to have.  Don't just take your meds.  Keep a journal every day this way you can see how your doing, and take it with you when you see your doctor.  I was diagnosied at the age of 38, though I have had it all my life.  I am now 52.  Unforunately I had gone through hell and back many times. The number one problem for bipolar's is taking med's.  If you learn to take your med's right from the beginning, you'll be ahead of the game.  But remember to read about the disorder.  I doubt that your school library will have books you need.  Good luck to you rubber duckie!
