I was placed in jail for driving under the influence when driving home from work because of a reacton to my medication.  The officer did several tests to find out I was on no illegal drugs.  I told them of my medication reaction and gave the phone # of my physician but it didn't matter.  Instead I spent precious time and money, not including the humiliation of losing my job and having a record.  It is hard to find another job with a record and it has changed my life.

They will still consider you as driving under the influence - even if it is for Rx drugs.  That is why the drug companies have been forced to put so many warnings on our meds - ie: Do Not Drive Until You Know How This Medication Will Affect You.

You may, however, fall into the court of a sympathetic judge.

I am so sorry you are going through all of this.
