Q: medication vyvanse.

i started taking vyvanse for adhd a month ago, and i am a little concerned. although it works wonders i'm afraid of the feeling i am getting. i use to be addicted to pain meds. i've been clean and sober for 9 years now and the feeling i get from the vyvanse is symilar to the high i use to get on pills. it makes me kind of hyper and have energy to burn. i do think more clearly ect. a  host of good things it does for me also, but i'm afraid i'll become addicted to the other feeling i get from it. it that a possibility?  does it have something in in that i should be aware of like narcotics or something else?  thank you

May I suggest ,that the high is not the same? That you are not slurring your words, and numb  or making poor judgement decisions. That this is what it is like to feel normal, good is not a feeling we have much experience with, but get use to it. Also aknowlegde that eating well, exersising having a program, not being full of fear and having pride in what you are accomplishing is a big part of that feel good high. Go to a pills announoumous meeting and relise that your solultions are not in pills , just the seeds for you to grow. You are doing the work, the  are just the tools.
