Q: I think my ex husband is bipolar?

I think my ex husband is bipolar.  He has been depressed for some time and then out of the blue he found out he had a 10 yr old daughter from a 1 night stand he had while being in a relationship with me.  We have been togther for 12 years & in 1 week I found out that he could be father, to he was the father and then found out he was sleeping with the mother & has left to be with her & the child even though he know's nothing about the women.  He has been acting like a crazy person.  He is up & down, impulsive, talks in riddles, yells at me one minute then another time will be calm.  He lies to me, her, his family, co-workers and his friends.  He has alienated all his friends who can't believe he has done this to me as they all believed we were happy and he loved me so much and wanted a baby even though it was not happening.  He got a tattoo of my name on his wrist and then two weeks later was leaving me for another women.  I also think there is something wrong with the GF as she is also very strange and very impulsive too.  He is spending money like he has a money tree.  We have a house and credit card debt and a month after we separated he decided to get another car where he had to take a loan out for, even though we have a huge debt and his old car was paid for.  He is very irrational and he repeats too me all the time "I haven't been happy for a long time" and he has only said once to me that he didn't love me when we were arguing, but he said it three times like it was rehearsed and the look in his eyes told another story and he looked like he was going to burst into tears when he said it.  I just don't understand any of it, but I am convinced he is bipolar.  But him and his family don't want to know about it and now he is turning it around on me and saying that I am crazy.  Please help I don't know what to do as we are separated but I still care and feel like there is no one else who wants to help him and it scares me to think what he is going to do to himself.
