Perhaps I needed to include more info to my last question. The doc said this new info release by health Canada was only a few days old. And the reason she is pulling me off of valproic is because I'm suffering from said side effects. She advised me that my "case" was being sent off as part of the list for the side effects.
I would never suggest anyone going off any meds. I personally hate taking medication, but have never taken myself off of anything. Its like Lithium.. It was my first mood stabilizer and after 7 months I was taken off of it. I suffered from the side effect of the acne and scaring. Other than that, I was doing good on the drug but because of physical side effects... the doc started a different cocktail. Others may never feel the same side effect of lithium or Epival.
I was paniced when she took it so seriously. And I was asking if anyone has ever felt the similar panic.
In doing my research most drugs have the idealation as part of the side effect list. Along with many others.. they are quite repeatitive...
Its the cognitive skills you learn that will keep you safe as your cocktail gets adjusted.
No panic... my case only... Everyone reacts differently.. and I won't/don't ever go off my meds... the outcome will always be worse than the side effects.
