I am doing a research on Bipolar and some of the sites don't really help much and I really can not rely on Wikipedia for answers plus one of my friend's teacher's said "The knowledge we have of Bipolar is either false or little is truly known." So I want to know how much of it do we really know? I have a friend who has bipolar and I want to understand what he's going through so if you could help me it would be lovely

Go to your local library, read all the books out there on Bipolar Disorder.  If your looking for answers, thats the place to start.  Better yet, sit down, grab a soda, coffee or whatever and starting reading this site, and everything that we have shared with one another.  Bipolar is far from being false, and we are learning amazing things about ourselves each and everyday.

One thing you will find on this site, is that we don't tolerate ignorance very well....unless your really here to be helped.  This isn't some mass hysteria thing going around.  This isn't the IN thing do because of all the publicity our there in the media.  This isn't some 30 minute sitcom show..that doesn't have a clue about what it's taking about and is only looking for ratings.  And it sure isn't something thats catching like the command cold.

This is a real imbalance, a malfunction of the brain.  We help ourselves with meds and learning how to live a normal life.  It's a struggle for us to get up each and every morning.  We educate ourselves everyday on all thats new about this disorder.  We have to except that most of the world looks upon us as leppers, and turn away from us.  We except that we may never have friends in our lives, or even family.  Who would want to be around someone with a disorder that they may have to work at a relationship with.  Like everything else...if you have Bipolar then you have joined the disposable world.

If you really want to learn about us...because believe me theres nothing FALSE about us.  I would gladly trade places with you for a week, better yet tell your friends "teacher" to come walk in our shoes for a week.  If this friend knows something we don't know....have them share with us...hell we've been doing this wrong all this time.

We aren't lab rats here for you or anyone else.  We take this disorder very serious.  So don't go around throwing words at us like False..or even Wikipedia.  Your talking to the REAL experts on this subject.  We know everything there is to know about BIPOLAR, and sadly we don't know enough...but tomorrow is a new day.

READ this site, then come back and tell us what you learned.  We aren't some "pissy" little cry babies feeling sorry for ourselves...people like you do enough of it for us.

Was this what your were hoping to find?  I seriously doubt it.  Don't open the can if you don't know whats inside....is just might say "Ass wooping on it".

SO YES WE "REALLY DO KNOW ABOUT BIPOLAR DISORDER".

From what I have already learn before coming to this site is that Bipolar Disorder is a mental state in which one part or multiple parts are imbalanced

(sorry about that lap top is a little loopy lately)

Which causes mood swings and such and also there is clinical depression

Plus I am not trying to sound rude or anything like that I just want to know as much as I can plus it's also for a project I am doing in school for a class

Maybe I worded my question wrong sorry about that if it sounded offensive but all I wanted to know is how much did we really know Bipolar plus you didn't have to be rude since I was only asking a question plus I have Clinical Depression and I am a Schizophrenic with some learning disabilities so I would appreicaite you not being so ignorent about it
