Q: My girlfriend refused to take her bipolar medication

My girlfriend refuses to take the medication for bipolar because they take away her artistic side and they cause her to get sick, but her moodswings are destroying our relationship. I cant ask her questions, she cant help me when my depression kicks in. And my love and respect that goes to her sometimes doesnt get returned by her.

I don't blame her for not wanting to take her medication.

If I was still taking doctor prescribe bi-polar meds I don't believe I'd be the same person I am today.  I'm a singer/guitar player/and song writer.  So I understand not wanting to loose your creativity.  Being on meds made me feel more like a robot than a living, breathing, human being . . . I was numb.

I tried taking lithium (a naturally occuring mineral).  You can order it off a variety of herbal and homeopathic remedy websites.  It works for me and I don't feel like a different person.
