I want to have more children could my meds cause any problems as far as child defects?

I am not an expert, but I am bipolar and my husband and I want to try to have children. I am taking Lamictal and Abilify and my psychiatrist says that I need to come off of my meds for a couple of months before we try. I don't know the specifics, but most of the meds are harmful to the baby. Some people say that when you get pregnant, your body kind of balances your moods out. I hope this was helpful. You should talk to your doctor before you start to try for more kids.
