I took lamictal, but it was such a long time back I do not remember the side effects with it.  But I do know this, I did not like the drug at all!  I was so much better once I was off of it.  I am now on seroquel and find it to be a great drug.   I have taken ativan as well.  I had no side effects, except that it made me drowsy in higher doses, like around 2mg, but I only took that dose to help me sleep.  At lower doses, like 0.5 mg, I had absolutely none.  I happened to really like Ativan.  You can ask a doctor the common side effects or look them up online, Drugs.com is a great website.
