jess,

There is an article here at healthcentral

http://www.healthcentral.com/bipolar/action-plans-3229-143.html

a couple at bipolar-lives

http://www.bipolar-lives.com/diet-and-manic-depression.html

http://www.bipolar-lives.com/bipolar-diet.html

and quite a few other articles to be found on the web.

There are some nutrients: omega-3 fatty acids (EPA), folic acid, B vitamins, the mineral magnesium and the amino acid taurine, which have demonstrated positive results, you may also research on your own.  If you plan to use any of these or any herbal products, inform your psychiatrist about your intent.
