Q: experiencing osteopenia ( thinning of the bones ) with trileptal medication

I have been taking trileptal since 2002 - currently at 2100mg per day.  diagnosed with osteopenia in 2008.

My doctor feels that trileptal is the most benign medication available

for bipolar disorder.

Any information regarding how much trileptal you take, have taken,

and how long you have been taking this medication is appreciated.
