You can go to Webmd.net and find out all you want on these medications or just type in on google.  There is also a website ask.com.   Also, there is a support group called NAMI.org.  You can find information on psyche meds. there too.  Invega is an antipsychotic.  It is used to treat schitzophernia and newer studies predicted it to treat bipolar also.  It did not work on me but what works on one doesn't always work on the other.  Good Luck on your medications.

Invega is similar to Risperdal but it has a different delivery system, therefore, it's supposed to have less side effects.  It's FDA approved for schizophrenia, but many docs are using it off label for bipolar with really good results.  One thing to look out for, if you are a woman, is that it can greatly raise your prolactin levels.  Raised prolacting levels can interfere with your menstrual period among other things.  I personally took Invega for awhile for bipolar and it did help with my symptoms, but did have to go off of it because of the prolactin levels.  I'm in a support group and there are other woman in my group who had to stop invega for the same reason.  It's just an FYI to think about.  It can be a great drug for some people.  Aside from the raised prolactin levels, I had no side effects and I usually get every side effect you can think of when it comes to taking medicines.
