Q: Is 1050 mg of seroquel to high?

I was on 600 mg and some weeks ago it went up to 900. Now my pdoc says I need 1050 mg. Is it to high?

It's hard to tell without knowling your symptoms - do you have psychotic episodes for example? I am only on 100mg Seroquel at night - at low doses it's more sedating than at high doses (go figure!) and my Dr gives it to me to help me fall asleep - tend to be a stay upper if I don't take it, and bipolar's need their sleep.

Still sounds very high to me...but like I said it all depend on your sypmtoms and their severity. Talk to your doc if you are concerned.

i agree. i take 2 100mg tabs to fall asleep at night which helped get these horrible thoughts that would keep me awake all night GONE. why does your dr think you need such a high dose i wonder? does it make you extremely sleepy at that dose? i cant even wake up the next morning if i take 3 at night!
