I have BP2 and my pdoc (whom I love and trust dearly) prescribed Lamictal and Abilify.  That helped tremendously with the severe mood swings, irregular sleep and spuratic eating habits.  6 months later she added prozac to the mix to help with the severe depression side.  The combination has significantly reduced the BP2 symptoms.  My pharmacist emphasized the importance of timing the meds.  I have to take the prozac 12 hours after taking the Lamictal and Abilify because Abilify reduces the bodies ability to eliminate prozac from your system.  Prozac, being a tranqualizer will decrease your appetite while at the same time making you tired.  So, I feel my best and the medicine works the best when I take the meds on time every day at 9 am and 9 pm.  I have gained weight since beginning the meds, but  there again (prior to starting meds) I didn't have good eating habits.  Good luck to you, Rosebud
