Q: Is Lyrica ok for a BPer to take without a mood stabilizer?

My 23-year-old daughter was diagnosed with BP 9 years ago. She hasn't taken any medications for BP in almost 5 years. She's moody but doing fairly well. About to graduate from college. She has been recently diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. The urologist just prescribed Lyrica for the IC -- to help with pain perceived by nerve endings or something like that. She's 6 hours away, and it makes me nervous because I can't watch her while she is trying this new medication.  She is married now, but her husband has never had to deal with the severe mood swings we faced during her teen years.
