Q: Does a bipolar push the one next to him and want the one who is far?

I wonder if my husband is bipolar.  He shows many of the symptoms such as shopping, sexual increase, (he is always very active but sometimes he does it 3 times a day-he is 52 years old), agitation, getting angry, getting mad easily, 1 week good the next week very moody, he even thinks and offers me to get divorced.

Let me give some examples, he lives in the USA, I used to live in a different country. We fell in love with each other only in 10 days. He came to me first, I came to the States later and returned bak to my country because I had a job over there. When I came back to the States to get mary with him, I felt that he was in contact with his ex-girl friend, we had fight and I left. I was crying, I went to a psychiatrist and started o take antidepresant, I felt so bad. He yielled at me for 3 weeks and then he started to tell me "please come back" I came back, 3 months later, the same problem emerged and I turned bak to my counry. It continued in this way for  3 years. I always thought that i had a roblem or we love each other but can not manage to live together. Now, I can see clearly, whenever I love him very much and show him care with love he withdraws himself. When I accept his offer of divorce and find a lawyear he stops yielling and talks to me nice.
Moreover, he treated me very bad for about 6 months (sceaming, cursing, sending me out) I had to go to a shelter.  (He was in contact with is ex-girlfriend- I later understood)  Then, he started to cry, called my friends, family, parents, sent me mails. 2 weeks later I accepted to meet with him, he came with flowrs and was very excited. I came back and he sent me back to my country 2 months later then he called me and said that he complained me to the immigration office and I can not enter the country again. I said ok, do not call me any more but he called at least 3 times a day for 2 months and we always had arguments.
I came to the States without informing him  and I found him waiting at the airport. He said this sentence "I know each step you did in another country". Is not it strange?
We started again with his words "we are opening a new page".
1 year later, now, he is in contact with his ex-girlfriend and he creates excuses to divorce from me. I listened some of his girlfriends' mesags, she says' do not call me any more, we can't continue in this way, i am getting married soon.' My husband begs her to be together again. The last one was "you said your are sick , I wonder if you are ok now" He WAS NOT sick! He had a pain on hs shoulder, I gave massage him with painreliever jel, ironed a towel and he got ok in the morning. During the night he was happy becuase he was given the grapes and banas in to his mouth on the bed, massage, love. He kissed me in the morning, and after I left for the work he called her and said that he was feeling very sick1 What is this?
I heard that bipolar people do not want the one next to him but wants the one far from him. When I leave him he wants me, when I live with him, love him. care of him, make him happy he wants the other one.
If he does not cheat on me I could tolerate him but... And, he never accepts going to a psychiatrist and never takes even one pill.
Do you have any advise to me? Do you think that tere is a way that I can help him? Thanks and blessings...
